Use this form to request the preparation of a deed conveying real estate. Deed preparation is $375, which includes recording the deed in the registry. County registry recording fees are $50, plus any transfer taxes if the transaction requires that. Transfer taxes are $2.20 per $500 of the sale price (or fair market value of the property if there is no sale price). There are several exemptions to the transfer tax that may be available.
